INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

The following opportunities are available for caring adults, ages 21 and over.

Safe Place Responder: Safe Place Responders pick up youth (ages 12-17) who seek assistance at a Safe Place site (e.g. QuikTrip) and transport them to YST’s Adolescent Emergency Shelter. Training is provided. We work around your schedule.

Coffee House Assistant: Help chaperone our Saturday evening Coffee House for teens. Coffee House is a performance and entertainment venue for youth in middle school and high school. It’s open from 7-11 PM every Saturday, except major holidays. Serve coffee and snacks, interact with youth (play games, lead activities, etc.), and assist with setup/cleanup. Flexible scheduling available.

Special Events Assistant: Lend a hand at fundraisers, community outreach activities, and other events. Special Events Assistants provide a wide range of support including registration, greeting guests, selling raffle tickets, and more! We also rely on these energetic volunteers to support our annual holiday program – Gifts of Hope.
